Cathy Roberts, D.O.

Neurodevelopmental Behavioral Pediatrician

My name is Dr. Cathleen Roberts, but a simple Dr. Cathy works well. I am so excited to be a part of the team at 316 Counseling. I am a developmental pediatrician with board certification in

neurodevelopmental disabilities and developmental behavioral pediatrics. I have practiced in the DFW area since moving to Texas in 2004. In June of 2021 I retired from full time practice. Through God’s perfect timing and connections, I was blessed to meet Dr. Becki and the team at 316.

I began my journey in medicine long before any formal training. My brother Eddie, who had profound disabilities inspired me and taught me things that formal training never could. During college I learned of a wholistic approach and went on to obtain my osteopathic medical degree (D.O.) at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my pediatric residency at Geisinger Medical Center in rural Pennsylvania. Eddie’s influence led me to a rehabilitation fellowship through the University of Southern California and a developmental fellowship at the University of Virginia. I have had the privilege of partnering with families in Texas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

I am passionate about helping children and families understand their developmental and behavioral differences and challenges. I believe that the more we understand the root causes of these challenges, the better equipped we are to empower and support. I also know that your child is impacted by the world and environment around them and that looking wholistically is essential. My goal is to partner with you to discover your child’s strengths and provide a clear path forward to maximize their well-being, mind, body, and spirit.

In my free time, I love spending time with my husband and 2 young adult children. My play usually

involves baking, communing with nature, and gardening. I stay connected through life groups and bible study. When I have quiet time, I love cuddling up with a good mystery or historical fiction book.
