Hi there!

My name is Farina Tahir. I am an Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate working under the direct supervision of Dr. Rebecca Welsh, PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S.

I have a great passion for unifying and strengthening relationships within families. I firmly believe that connecting with others and with oneself is where profound change occurs. Finding the blocks in one’s life and discovering constructive ways to heal can lead to deeper connection and healthier relationships.

I graduated from Southern Methodist University with my Masters of Science in Counseling, where I received specialized training working with children, parents, and groups. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Child Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Dallas and have worked in the service industry for over twelve years.

When I’m not working, I can be found surrounded by my cats deeply immersed in a novel or tending to my exotic plant collection.
