Hello! My name is Becki Welsh, and I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. My passion is helping children and parents heal, connect, and find rest and peace in their homes and relationships.
I specialize in working with younger children (ages 2-12) and have training in child-centered and Adlerian play therapy, filial therapy, and trauma-focused therapy for children. I know how to help what doesn't feel right with children and their families. And I would love to help your family.
I am the proud mom of two boys - 28 & 30 and two step-sons - 28 & 31, and a grandmother to a precious little girl named Chloe born in January 2017. I live in the Dallas Texas area with my husband, Greg, and love doing things like golf, tennis, and basically anything outdoors! I love to laugh and have fun as well as have deep intimate conversations. I feel my purpose is to offer compassion, grace, and love to those who need it most.
I first began working with children in 1992. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Colorado and Texas, a National Certified Counselor, as well as a Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor with the Association for Play Therapy. I am also a full-time Assistant Professor in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at Colorado Christian University.
