Hi, my name is Joelnika (Joy) Martin. I am a wife and mother of 7 children ages 13-22. So, as you can imagine, my home is full of energy and excitement most of the time! I was born in Puerto Rico, but for most of my life, I lived in South Florida (I speak fluent Spanish).

I completed my undergrad in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. After graduation, I worked at a shelter for homeless youth and single moms. My desire to work with teens and young adults grew during this time. For over 20 years, I have been involved with non-profit organizations that help provide resources for women in crisis pregnancies.

My desire is to continue to make an impact in the life of young people by becoming a licensed professional counselor. I am pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Colorado Christian University.
